I try to love myself
And I can't do that at all
But when I try to love my country,
You say that's my one downfall

By day I am told to assimilate
And that it is for my own sake
By night I lay in bed
And wish that I would never wake

On those lonely school Valentine's Days
I was the one who sent flowers to me
Because love was so blind
That when I cried, it couldn't even see

I wander around aimlessly
And finally find a group of four
I feel the sorrow in my soul
And wonder why there's never any room for more

I know I wasn't there from the start
And I can understand your loyalty
But why did you have to break my heart?

If you could have found a place
To love me in your heart -
Even just a tiny space
Would this still have been my fate?
