Forgotten

by Sherry Lynn   Aug 17, 2004

I’ve forgotten
Where I placed my keys,
Please, children
Help locate them for me.

I’ve seem to have forgotten,
Where I placed my glasses,
Without them I can’t see.

Oh my, where are my shoes?
I have forgotten where I put those, too.

Excuse me sir,
But who are you?
I forgot your name,
Even though you just told me yesterday.

My memory’s not the same,
It’s not as sharp as it used to be,
They say it comes with age,
Or is heredity?
Oh, I can’t remember.

Can anyone help me?
Answer something for me, please,
Oh darn it; I forgot my question now,
May it’ll come back to me.

Well, I guess I’ll let you go
After all,
I’ve already,
Forgotten what I was writing about.

Hahaha! I really liked that one! It was really funny and what was funnier was that each thing you said reminded me off my mom. I pictured her throughout this whole poem. She loses her keys, glasses, and she is very forgetful. I liked it a lot.
