Speaking From the Heart ®

by Sarah   Aug 17, 2004

So many ways to talk to you,
But none of which I'm privey to.
I sit and wait with excited breaths.
You speak to our parents now hurt fills my chest.

In my mind we have glorious chats,
Just the old days, "Do I look fat?"
I imagine the looks you'd give me,
One day soon those I'll actually see.

Right now though it's to myself I speak.
I endeavor to be strong and bold, not so weak.
As each day goes by I keep a chart.
Til the day I'll be speaking from the heart.
