Truth

I've always been everything you wanted me to be
but now I just wanna be me
my life has been a big lie
whenever I would try to be me you would just sigh
I'm sorry if the real me isn't good enough for you
you think your not good enough for me but you know thats not true
all I wanted was for you to be pleased
well guess what? now your in the lead
because all this is, is a race
between who can be a better person, well I quit, see this look on my face
its a look of hurt
that all this effort
went down the drain
you think the real me is insane
why can't you love the real me
atleast the real me is happy
well now I have told you how I feel
so please just deal
the truth is out
and now I'm gunna take a diffrent route...
