Something that seems to good to be true
Always turns out to be
I just don't understand
Why it always happens to me
Once or twice, yeah
A couple times a year, okay
But when its always happening
It just gets in the way
A guy I met seemed perfect
Wonderful in every way
And then he gets back with his ex
And your trying to find out how this is okay
You question the thought in your head
And it makes no sense to you
Finally you come to the conclusion that

He wasn't yours to keep
You knew in your heart
But you thought that a new love in your life
Would five your world a jump start
Things went bad the whole year
And they just brightened up one day
Now things are back to how they were
And you are no longer okay
A week of love
That filled your heart
You knew it was more than a physical attraction from the start
You met one day
Talked one night
But things were just to perfect
To be right
Now here you are pondering
On what could have gone wrong
Only there is nothing
Just an empty song
You'll think of him always
Until the pain finally goes away
Only problem now is that those old feeling are going to stay
Try to get over it
I know it will be hard
But you two barely knew each other
So it makes it easier
