If I could

by Emily Barclay   Aug 18, 2004

This is dedicated to my mum who I've been argueing with alot recently!

I regret those things we said,
I remember those books you read,

I remember those times I cried,
And you were at my side,

Those times I skimmed my knee,
Those times you helped me see,

I'll remember these times forever,
Those memories I treasure,

We have our good and bad,
But those times I make you mad,

I feel the pain as much as you do,
As I can see your pain which makes me hurt too,

Those times we used to fight,
I wanted to wipe your eyes and tell you it was going to be alright,

I wish I knew know,
I could change those things now,

Like when I used to cry,
Or when we said good-bye,

But now it's to late,
To change those times you used to hate,

To top those little fights,
Or hug you one those lonely nights,

However I still want you to know,
I love you even when it doesn't show,

I would like to the past,
But the presents going to fast,

But I would,
If I could.
