I Can\'t Forget You

by rachyBBY   Aug 18, 2004

I can't seem to forget
When we were together
I used to think
That we could make it through any kind of weather

But you didn't feel the same
And I think about you all the time
I wish you weren't with her
I'd do anything to hear you ask me, Be mine?

I have a clear picture
In my head of you
Just so you know, I never cheated
My feelings for you have always been true

I remember how your hair smelled
After you took a shower
All the arguments we ever had
Are now a blur

I remember how you'd hold me close
When my life got rough
But no matter how long you held me
It just wasn't enough

You told me we could make it
Through thick and thin
But not having you around me
Has made my life dim

I remember the way
You'd brush the hair out of my face
And everytime
That you'd let me win a race

I'm trying to forget
But it's sort of hard
I keep remembering how you told me
In life, we'll get far.

Well, I guess we won't
And I won't ever forget you
But I guess I should move on
Because you keep saying, We're through.

So this is my good-bye
Don't ever forget me
I've decided that
I should set you free.
