Have You Forgotten?

by Ten Feet Tall   Aug 18, 2004

Have you forgotten about us?
You have, haven't you?
You've forgotten about your friends.
I knew you would,
You always do.
Get a new boyfriend,
And all of a sudden we are nothing,
Maybe a speck in the back of your mind.
Your time is devoted to him,
Every single second of it.
If on occasion you do have plans with us,
You'll break them to be with him,
But would never break a date with him,
To be with your friends for a change.
You seem to only have time for us,
Those days he's out of town.
I can see what we really meant to you.

Well, I guess you have forgotten.
I still can't believe it though.

Great poem though it's horrible to know that this actually happens. You'd like to think that the friends they have shared a relationship w/much longer would mean more to them than a new boyfriend but sadly that's not how it works..Take care.

i know exactly what your saying in this, im going throught this with a friend i have been best friends with since we were born. she meets a new guy and all of the sudden she doesnt want to come swimming with us or anything we used to do. she recently had an accident and ended up in the hospital, i flew home from our family vacation to be with her, he was no where in sight. she almost died and he wasnt there and she is still with him not with us. he didnt have time to show up
