Mom... i'll try not to cry

You held my hand,
and helped me grow,
well now there's something you should know...

The only reason i made it thru,
was knowin i had a love in you...
and whenever i was feeling blu,
you was the one i ran to..

so now I'm not worried,
i don't cry as much anymore...
but damn i wish,
you wouldn't hurt anymore...

just to see you locked up,
with no way to move,
and knowing its not fair,
for all the great things you do...

gets me kinda upset,
but i still standing strong,
and its all because you loved me,
and was there all along...

i know we had fights,
disagreed bout a thing or two...
but you were always my mom,
and somehow always stayed true..

and i regret when i think about,
all the bad things i did,
and i remember how i made you mad, as a little kid...

but ur baby girls grown up now,
and i'm not giving up,
and talkin about tough love, haha,
yea it really made me tough!!

sometimes it felt like you left me,
and you werent coming back...
but when i look in your eyes i know,
you never really did that...

cuz we been through so much,
through the worst weather,
and i know times is hard...
but we'll face it together...

and ima hold ur hand,
until the day that you leave me...
and ill try not to cry,
but it wont be easy..

so mom hold my hand,
and i wont let you down..
if your lookin for a love to last,
well thats wat you've found...

and im tryin to make you proud,
and theres things i do that you don approve,

i know....

but ima good person, and we're gonna pull thru...

and mom please dont cry, but i dont want to lose you...from the day this hit you, i prayed it wasnt tru...

but we cant change the past,
we only learn from it and move on...

but mama im here,
and ill never be gone...

and ima hold ur hand until the day that i die, but if you leave me first...
