Think Twice, Put Away That Knife

by Perfectly Unperfect   Aug 18, 2004

Clenched so tightly in your hand,
Your wrist begins to bleed
Lying down upon the sand
Your mind now feels at ease

The knife is pulled up to your neck
More red begins to flow
Before you finish off your death
I thought that you should know:

You are the sunshine of my life
The air in each breath I take
So please, Dear, put away that knife
For my heart's begun to break

I love you more than words can say
More than light loves the sun in the sky
I'll love you after my hair turns grey
Because you're not just another guy

You are my life, my world, my heart
You are my everything
I didn't tell you from the start
But for your love I'd do anything

Every time I've seen you frown
My heart has broken in two
So you can only imagine me now
I swear I'll die without you

I wish I had told you this before
I was just too shy, you see
It seemed to me you needed nothing more
That you were perfect without me

But now you feel you have no love
And feel that you must die
But, Honey, you are my white dove
You're the apple of my eye

Now that you know there's someone here
Who loves you more than life
I hope that you will make a veer
And drop that blood-soaked knife

Wow who ever that poem was ment for must be amazing 4 u to love them so much.
I wish with all my heart that everyone had someone that loved them this much. I know that there would be less sucide and self-mutalation because people wouldnt feel as alone if they were loved this much. I can only hope pray and wish. please keep writing and sharing your love with the world. cya
