Fallen Angel

They cut my wings
and told me I would never fly again
I tried to work things out with them
but they only sent me down here

sometimes
I wonder
what did I do some wrong
to be put down here
to be alone

to be given
such a denial
to have fight
for my survival

to be alone
to be looked down upon
to cry at night
to never see those heavenly lights

I don't belong here
no one does
to have to live in fear
without a single reasoning or a because

how could they do this to me
to get to choose something so severely
to not let me have a single say
for where I will spend the rest of my days

I just don't understand
how could they be so cold
to take me out of his safe hands
