Searching

Searching for the answer,
Looking for the truth,
Life, death, and in between,
What am I to do?

I don't know where to turn,
I don't know where to go,
So lost and confused right now,
I feel I am below,

Below the surface of this life,
Drowning in my soul,
The answers so far out of reach,
I wish that I could know,

Where do we go from here?
What happens when we die?
When is it my time to go?
And who is to decide?

Does God really watch over me?
Or am I alone?
Is death a new beginning?
Or a sad end to a poem?
