Can't Stop Here

by Bryce Ellner   Aug 19, 2004

I've come so far,
Learned so many things.
Been through the best and worst of times,
But I've still got a ways to go.

The two ravens that follow me,
They say the worst is yet to come.
Whether they're right, I guess I'll find out.
I've come this far, I'm not turning back.

I've risked everything,
Achieved only a little.
Almost makes me want to cry sometimes.
Like I'm some worthless story.

I won't be lost in the fabric of time.
I won't go silent into that cold night.
I'll leave my mark, some way, some how
I'm not done with this world....not yet...not now...

(Thanks to everybody who has rated/commented on this poem, I hope you dont mind the editation I made on it. I added "not now..." onto the end after I reread it again)

Wow...that was beautiful...love is worth everything, all the risk, all the pain and all the memories. They make for great poetry! Well done!
