The Clown

by Kevin J   Aug 20, 2004

The eeriest silence that I never heard
Was the silence before the clown spoke
He'd been standing there silently since I sat down
To reread this new Poem I wrote

His warm putrid breath crawled the back of my neck
Like a spider creeps stealthly for dinner
Peaking over my shoulder I felt what he thought
And I prayed that my calm not surrender

I tried to ignore him by humming a song
And thats when my nightmare turned terror
For the clown thought it funny to hum right along
Like an echo from hell trapped forever

Horror had stolen the sound from my throat
Which made the clown hiss this mad snicker
I was frozen with fear "Turn around if U dare"
Was his taunt tinged with malice and rigor

I thought "I would, if I could, but I can't", so I stood
Still as night in my room not alone
The clown mocking and teasing and egging me on
Till I turned and I found he had gone

I stared back at my poem that lay on my desk
But it was'nt the words that I wrote
Instead on the paper was what U just read
Wrote in blood from the slit in his throat

Haha Hehe, yeah it's me, can't U see
I'm the Clown that just killed that bad poet
And Ur number six;) on my "Fun, Fear, Kill" list
Cuz U suck just like him and I know it

Think you can ignore me?, well I think you can't:)
And I'll prove it the next time you write;)
Cuz I'll be right there, molesting your fears
Till you scream and you die from the fright

*Yea, clowns creep me out, and yes, they are evil :p*

Creeeeepy. I hate clowns. This was so good tho. Like Keri, this might just give me something to dream about. Well, actually, nightmares.
