I took you for granted
And now you are gone
I failed to realise
That things could go wrong
I expected you to listen
but I never heard
I did all the talking
You never said a word
I always wanted
But never returned
I was losing your friendship
but showed no concern
Broken hearts cant be mended
A lesson I have learned
Now you have gone
For your friendship I yearn
