Murder "Seen"

I felt compelled to write this
So the truth the world would know
For I doubt I'll live to tell it
My intuition tells me so

Buried in his backyard
Is more than just a bone
I seen him when he did it
With a calm as cold as stone

I remember waving to her
As I went to get my mail
Her eyes so sad and haunted
And her posture meek and frail

But it seemed the timid mouse
Had the strength it seemed to lack
When the cat began to push
She got mad and pushed him back

The argument was heated
I heard it loud and clear
Her confession was quite shocking
And the eve of her nightmare

The sudden boom of thunder
Lightening tearing through the sky
Had set the seen of madness
Nature knew, and seemed to cry

The piercing screams of terror
Tantalized my every nerve
But worse was sudden silence
When she got what she deserved

From my upstairs window
Hell's existence became clear
Transfixed by this atrocity
Cursed to only stand and stare

I understood his anger
But what he did with that ice pick
Displayed a true psychotic
At "It's" height of being sick

Lightening lit his sinful plight
As I watched him dig the hole
Where he threw her bloody body
That condemned his evil soul

An Arctic chill ran up my spine
And ceased my heart to beat
For a flash revealed a pair of eyes
So cold it froze my feet

Then Panic found composure
And composure found the phone
The phone found only silence
Now I find myself alone

The power's out..
The phone is dead..
Why even shout..
There's only dread..
My end is near....
He's on his way...
He knows no fear..
I'm now his prey..
A crashing sound...
He's through the door..
My heart it pounds..
It knows the score...
I can't rebound..
I'm gonna die...
So to the world...
I say good bye..
