Letter To A Friend.

Letter To A Friend.

To my dear friend,
I'll always be halfway behind you,
I'll always be at your side,
No matter what I do know this,
While I live and you do too,
I'll be there for you give all your problems,
As long as you keep in contact with me,
As long as I know you want me there,
I will be your friend,
I care enough for you,
That to let you know you mean the world,
For me without you,
Would be here without there,
Would be earth with out the sun,
My friendship is true and real,
I trust you with the world,
I care for you with heart and soul,
If I fall I know you'll be there,
Just to pick me up,
And make me laugh,
You’ve always put a smile on my face,
And I hope for you it stays,
If we fight,
I know sorrys not long in wait,
Your friendship I value,
Your trust I need,
Your love I return,
You inspire me to fight another day,
So for that,
I wish just one thing,
That there was enough to repay you in the world,
All I can give you is my friendship and love,
Yours in friendship,
Your friend.

This poem was good because it was happy and honest, but as far as poetic devices go it falls a bit short. I believe this message of caring for your friend is clear, and if there is a deeper message that I am missing then forgive me because I have seen many of these "thank you my friend" letters. However, I do think that whoever this letter is for is a lucky person to have such a good friend. I really liked the "halfway behind you" thing, it just makes more sense.
