Whispers Of Love

by Lost in Love   Aug 21, 2004

As I watch you sound asleep in bed
I lean down and softly kiss your forehead
Just smiling at you watching you sleep
Trying my hardest not to make a peep
Bowing my head as I take one knee
Praying to god thanking him for sending you to me
Saying softly all the things you have helped me through
If I didn’t have you I don’t know what I would do
I brush my fingers slowly down your face
Holds your hand in my hands warm embrace
Pushes your hair behind you ear
Whispering I love you even though I know you don’t hear
Pulling the covers over you more wrapping you up tight
Wiping the tears as they fall from my eyes
Kissing you goodnight once more before I get into the bed
Laying next to you as i rest my head
Closing my eyes so I can drift off to sleep
Then I suddenly feel your arms wrap around me
Your holding me tighter than every before
And I’m wondering if you heard what I said or heard my tears pour
Then I softly hear you whisper I love you too
And I reassure myself that our love we will never lose
One tear slowly drops from my eye and slowly slides all the way down my cheek
And I hold you close as I fall asleep
