Let Him Go

by hayley williams   Aug 22, 2004

Girl please don't let him tear you down
You gotta try to be as strong you can
Stop your tears before they start to fall
Don't lose who you are all over a man

You are truly beautiful inside and out
Don't ever let anyone hurt your pride
Can't you see he is not worth your pain
What you deserve he cannot provide

Someday you will find that certain one
And this playa will be part of the past
I know its hard to break away from him
Better now though before life is passed

If he loved you he wouldn't hit you
If he cared about you he would change
You are too good to suffer this bullshit
Honey you are way above his range

No women should feel trapped by a man
And you are no exception to that rule
I understand that you really do love him
But the way he treats you is so cruel

You can hide your bruises and cuts
But you cannot ignore your constant pain
You need to leave him in order to survive
Otherwise he will just do this to you again

You're right; no one should be victim of an abusive relationship. I hope your friend realizes sooner than later that she does deserve better.

    Great job, another excellent piece!
