I Will Always Love You

by Bryan   Aug 22, 2004

In a hospital room,
Three years ago.
He was sitting there,
watching her fading slow.

He watched her grow tired,
And he watched her grow weak.
He cried all night,
When she fell asleep.

It seemed like only yesterday,
There life was full of love.
Now the good Lord's calling,
her name from up above.

She got sick,
Cause she smoked two packs a day.
And he prayed,
That God wouldn't take her away.

He was holding her hand,
While she layed in bed.
It hurt her to talk,
But she looked up and said.

"You made my life worth living"
"You made my heart worth giving"
"You made every second feel right"
"You turned my darkness into light"
"We had a love that was perfect,
and true"
"I will always love you"

Then she put her head down,
And she drifted away.
And he was sitting there,
With tears rolling down his face.

His eyes hurt,
And his heart bled.
But he fought through the pain,
and said.

"I will go on, until my life is through"
"But I will always"
"I will always"
"Love you"
