My Funny Valentine

A day of hearts
of pink and red
A day when all singles
Wish they were dead
A day I use to love
A song I use to play
A game that shall continue on
Long past Valentines Day
A day that brings pain to my heart
A day when dark clouds hang over head
A day I wish would end
But it seems to be prolonged
Instead
Valentines Day is suppose to be happy
Hugs and kisses going around
Instead here I am
holding a frown
I remember when this day was grand and sweet
That was when my heart was carried on my feet
I loved the day once before
But never again
The day just brings back memories
That I choose to leave within
I'll get over this terrible day
And realize that tomorrow
I'll be okay
Valentines Day is just funny that way
Your on cloud nine and then in hell the next day
