Tears for Tomorrow

by Sean Allen   Aug 23, 2004

O, tears!
I watch as they drip
slide twist fall
down your face.
Don't cry for me
or what I must do;
What the world must become.
I can see now;
you standing there.
So brave, so frail.
Mere loss of sight
enough to cause a fall.
It was too fast,
the meeting here,
and departure at its feet.
Do you regret
that you came to me at all?
Don't doubt,
although goodbyes are filled
with sweet sorrow
the chances tomorrow bring
forever pay back the cost
of a broken heart.
Live strong, for just as
there is night after day
there is always the wonderful sunrise
and there I will be.
Though I may be lost now
We shall be found
together.

    Another great piece by Sean Allen himself. Your poem made my heart hurt which means you did good. I've looked up and down, left and right, but i can't find anything to critique on. Sorry Sean, wish i could be more helpful
