She smiles

by Chloe   Aug 23, 2004

She wakes up in the morning,
she looks at her face,
she breaks the mirror,
she's such a disgrace.
She smiles.

She goes to school,
with all this shame,
but still she continues
to play this game.
She smiles.

At school they're mean,
they say cruel words,
they don't care
that it hurts.
She smiles.

She eats her lunch,
just to throw it all up,
she's too weak,
she cannot stop.
She smiles.

She's always alone,
no one is there,
no one knows,
no one cares.
She smiles.

She goes back home,
hears cries from her heart,
she ignores the fact
that she's torn apart.
She smiles.

Her mother asks her
how school was today,
she answers as always
' Everything was okay '
She smiles.

She gets the razor blade,
her only friend,
just one cut,
and the pain will end.
She smiles.

She starts to cut,
she sees herself weep,
she falls to the ground,
she has cut too deep.
She dies.
