Unreal

A choked sob
a fallen tear
a shattered cry
all you will hear

as I sit alone
looking up at the darkened sky
bright shooting stars
where the lost answers lye

I dream of things
so beautiful and true
with happy endings
and someone better than you

how could I have believed
in something so unreal
at this age you don't even know
what you truly feel

so I'll try to really think
about the pain I had to endure
for falling for someone like you
I guess I wasn't really sure

of what I honestly felt
now I've wasted all my tears
flowing cold and silent
for something so unreal
