Flight 1974

I began this trip some time ago,
I started it all alone;
As time passed, more passengers boarded,
More and more were flown.

Some of these commuters saw what I saw,
And experienced what Flight 1974 had to offer;
Although the turbulence wasn't especially horrid for me,
Some had a rougher flight, some had it softer.

Unfortunately, I have had to watch the unlucky travellers,
Focused in their dread plight;
For some of these passengers disembarked prematurely,
And caught a darker flight.
