Rose

I watched the rose turn old and die, I saw the petals fall to the ground I thought to myself that it was better off dead. After all it was just a flower. Then I started to think about it, the rose was just a flower but it meant alot to me. Even though I watched it die yes it was just a flower, but it also had a life. If it didn't have a reason to cry than why should I?
I watched the rose turn old, as everyday I do too
The rose knew it had a reason to die as do I
But I'll take my time kind of like the rose
