I was standing outside
all alone in the rain
wishing for one second
that you could feel this pain

because it was my heart you broke
it was my eyes that cried
and it was me that loved you
but you were the one that lied

then you came from out of the storm
didn't say a word
just held me close
thunder was all that could be heard

I closed my eyes
and just let you hold me
I knew right then
that this is how it should be

then you kissed my lips
and the whole world just went away
you are the love of my life
I just don't know what to say

we stood there forever
in the rain just me and you
you told me you'll always love me
I smiled and said I love you too

but things aren't always as they seem
because then I woke up
and realized it was all just a dream
