Unhappily Ever After

by Brittany   Aug 26, 2004

You said we’d be together forever,
you said we’d never part,
But here you left me all alone
and with a broken heart,

You said the pain would ease in time,
but in time it only grew,
You had my heart you had my soul,
which I only gave to you,

Now I have no will to live,
and I’m only left with pain,
Even on a sunny day,
I drown in constant rain

I pray to god for him to ease my pain,
I watch to see the flood of blood
wash slowly down the drain,

I hope you’re happy with what you’ve done,
I hope you cannot sleep,
Thanks to you I’m lying here,
I’m buried six feet deep!

Hey, I thought that was a great poem. I really liked how it all flowed together. You got pretty drastic there in the end, but that is what made the poem so good. I really liked the way you used your words, and was all very smooth. Great job. I loved it.
