Though my eyes

by Kia   Aug 26, 2004

As I look at the world,
I wonder why
There is so much crime
And people have to cry

No matter where you go
Most of what you hear are lies
It's sad but true
You cannot believe everything you see with your eyes

Everywhere death surrounds us
No respect for each other
If it helps himself, one might not thing twice
He would do anything, even kill his brother

This world can be a great place
But right now it's sad
Everywhere you go people are in pain
Many children never know their dad

Worry is on the foremost of many parents minds
Many mothers have several sleepless nights
People are afraid to go out and have fun
Afraid they will get in the middle of fights

Babies are abandoned
Their mothers just don't care
Off a bridge, they will throw them
They just don't want them in their hair

Children are left to raise themselves
With no support given them
Since they are not taught
They do not know, that what they do is sin

If they were taught
They would know
That of their wild ways
They need to let go

Since girls have no fathers
In all the wrong places they look for love
They do not realize where true love is found
They do not realize that true love comes from above

Children are forced to grow up fast
Robbed of their youthful life
Their fun and games taken
Traded for trouble pain and strife

We must go out and share
The people must be told
We should not keep it to ourselves
So that to their “gods” they are sold

All you find in drugs is an empty life
There is no hope in needles and pipes
No hope in empty sex and rock and roll
You sinful and shameful past, away he wipes

To live a meaningful life
Turn from what people say
Turn to the Lord
He is the one true way

Many look for help else where
But nowhere else is there hope
No one else can save
Not even the Roman Catholic Pope

We need to leave our evil ways
We need to turn and be forgiven
In him is the only true love
In him we need to believe in

Although you suffer heartache and pain
He will be there to comfort you
He is always there to listen
You can always rely on him too

As he has promised
He will never leave you nor forsake you
On that you can rely
He does not lie, he's words are true.
