If Tomorrow Never Comes

by Ten Feet Tall   Aug 26, 2004

“Tomorrow’s only a day away.”
At least, that’s what we’ve been told.
But what if tomorrow never came?
Would you be ready to go?
Have you done what needed to be done?
Said what needed to be said?
Loved who needed to be loved?
I know I haven’t.

Someday tomorrow won’t come.
Will you be ready for it?
Have you tried to live your life to the fullest?
Did you ever take that risk?
Did you laugh and joke enough?
They say laughter is the key of life.

So if you’ve lived for today,
Go a little farther,
And live for tomorrow too,
Because if tomorrow never comes,
You’ll have lived.

A very thought provoking poem. I liked how you used the phrase "if tomorrow never comes", you included some very inspiring questions in your poem. Well done.
