Reflection

by The Plain Truth   Aug 26, 2004

I'm sorry I can't be,
Everything you want.
Can't you see it's hard enough,
Just admitting this is me.

I'm sorry that I cry all night,
I'm sorry I always worry.
I'm sorry I don't smile,
Can't you see I'm sorry.

Maybe if you listened more,
You could understand.
You don't know what goes on inside,
Or why my face is covered by my hand.

Maybe if you tried,
You could really see.
As far as I'm concerned,
You don't even know me.

I start to cry,
As I turn away from the mirror
This is me
My worst fear.

Yes, sometimes I feel I'm just not good enough, and by trying to be what everyone wants I am just tearing myself up inside. I give you the strength to look past what everyone has said, just like I have done. Thank you!

Thank you once again Rose. I try very hard to express myself in the best way I can. I am glad to hear you enjoyed it. With every comment I get more confident in my writing.
