Don't Turn Into Me

My words of power,
My pearls of wisdom,
To myself and others I say,
"I must be strong and
You can hold on"
To those unfortunate ones,
Who've got not air in their lungs,
They've lost the will to scream.
If they just asked for help,
But to keep their lives - they aren't keen.

They can take your body,
Bruise it and break it.
They can take your heart,
Shatter it, and rip it apart.
But you can survive,
You can go on,
You've still got your mind,
Got your thoughts, dreams and passions...

Just promise me this,
Whatever they do,
Whatever they say,
Stay sane,
Keep your mind,
Don't turn into me.....
