Heaven's Path

by Kevin J   Aug 26, 2004

The road leading to heaven
Might be paved with our good deeds
Or the willing sacrifice
Of self-deluded wants and needs

We raze that path with actions
Dubbed immoral by decree
Impeding our own progress
But these wrongs we seldom see

A divine ascent to heaven
Could be based on whats inside
Like thoughts of good intentions
Or the darker ones we hide

Taking notice to these factors
Could uplift or save your soul
And assure your path to heaven
To be smoothed by righteous goals

*You would think I was a religous person, wouldn't you??*
