I had to tell you i loved you
and that i would wait,
until you were 18
or until we could date.
i had to tell you over and over
that i loved you so much,
and that i could not live
without your touch.
i repeated my words
but i was not waiting for a reply,
i just had to make sure you knew
as i sadly said good-bye.
i also sat in silence
my heart beating fast,
as i remembered our times
together in the past.
i did wait and wait
as your words never came,
wanting to hear you say
things would stay the same.
i went home also
and layed down in my bed,
rethinking all that happened
and everything you had ever said.
i have learned that even if you tell someone you love them you might still end up living in tears and sorrow,
no matter how many times you tell them, there still might not always be a tomorrow.
that night i went home glad i had told you i loved you with my heart beating fast,
since that night we spent together ended up being out last.
