Temporary Difficulty

by Timothy   Aug 26, 2004

The despondency of life has defeated you,
The food has lost it's flavor;
You are conscience-stricken over a lifetime of regrets,
Disheartened in your noncompliance to speak to the Savior.

Woebegone, that is as good a word as any,
Dejected, discouraged, and overcome by forlorn remorse;
The solemnity of the grave has an unnatural, but appeasing siren song,
The incorrigibility is in your veins, and the cynic has irretrievably plotted his course.

Your dismay is real, and your fear of death genuine,
But your enduring of life is an unbearable uncertainty;
Unfortunately, you did not know, suicide is a very concluding solution,
To a temporary difficulty.
