Snow White and the Seven Demons

by Michael D Nalley   Aug 26, 2004

While I was on my way home late one night
I was looking for someone to hold tight
When I saw such a beautiful sight
A young lady, who looked like Snow White

With no one to turn to, nowhere to hide
I decided to offer her a ride
Just for the pleasure to sit by her side
She accepted, and I was gratified

I felt like I was falling, if I had not already fell
When I ask her where she lived, she had a sad story to tell
She said, I have no home, but I live in hell
Deep in the pit, where the seven demons dwell

White wave, you don't have go back to that evil place,
Where the angry demons slap you in your sad face
They treat you like leather, but you are fine lace
Let me deliver you from this sad disgrace

Beauty belongs in heaven, not in hell
Your beautiful face is starting to swell
Oh the sorrow I am feeling, no tongue can tell
But you do what you must do, and you do it well

I promised, I'd take you where you wanted to go
But how could I have guessed, or how could I know
That the White Wave, once as pure as fallen snow
Would think she had to return to a place so low

I asked Snow White why she did not believe that she had a choice
You do what you got to do, she said, with a sorrowful voice
I was much too tired to argue, much too tired to understand,
Why many of us, don't do what will get us to the Promised Land

Heaven is in your reach, when you believe
That is what helps you understand, God is relief
The seven demons can no longer deceive,
Those who understand are relieved by this belief

Don't eat the poison apple of despair
While our Lord offers new hope everywhere
The warmth and kindness of God's love
Purifies what falls from above
