What You See

by Jacki   Aug 27, 2004

In my eyes
hides many things.
Sometimes they
hide my true
identity.

Only a few can
see past the lies.
Can see past the
deceit.
Only a few can
see the real me.

In my eyes
hides many painful
stories.
Behind the glare
holds sadness.
Behind the pain
holds some
happiness.

Within my eyes
you will see
many different sides
to me.
Behind my eyes
holds my soul.
This is something
you will never
have from me.

But no matter
what you may see
when you peer
into me.
You will never
see what I see
when I look into a
mirror and stare
back at me.

this poem wasn't about the rhyming its about what you see, what the other person sees, and the difference in what I see.

I really liked this poem, but the rhyming scheme was a little bit off. It was an awesome poem though. Kudos
