Sacrificed

by Jacki   Aug 27, 2004

The room is dark
it has a musky smell.
Mold on the stone walls.
It is cold and damp in here.
The few noises that i do hear
are that of some water
a slight trickle like a small
stream.
My heart races frantic on how
I got here.
Curious where I am
never before have i seen
such a desolate place.
Trapped I can not move
my body tied down with
leather straps upon
a cold body length stone.
Off in the corner I see a
slight flicker of light.
Soon the lights cast shadows
upon the room that I lay in.
Voices began to he heard.
Men and women both
chanting in monotone voices.
Dark and deep the words
run threw me.
They come into sight
black long cloaks cover there
faces and body's.
I can not see who they are.
They gather around me
into a circle of sin.
They raise there arms
as if praying to a god
as if praying to not my god.
A hand reaches down and touches
my hand.
I realize the hand is that of my
mothers.
I scream out scared.
The more I move the more i
become trapped.
What is going on?
Then I see a shining object hanging
from one of there cloaks.
A Knife.
Tears flow down my cheeks
what is she doing to me.
Then the object
the knife raises into the air
and plummets into my chest.
My mother leans down
and told me she loved me
but all i could manage do is
couch some thick blood.
The warm blood that was
streaming down my chin.
My eyes roll back
my mind becoming blank.
The torture the traitorous evil
around me has taken my soul.
My head tilts to the left they
walk out of the room one by one
the light slowly fades.
The voices get shallow
they seem to be getting farther away.
My body left lifeless and cold
laying on a body length stone.
Sacrificed to the evil.
I am No More.
