A bed of roses, Real yet untrue,
A bed of roses, Beautiful and few,
A bed of roses, That of a dream,
A bed of roses, All that can be,
The stem being the center of it all,
Thorns of protection forming the wall,
The petals, beautiful, but fading,
The power of the rose is finally degrading,
A bed of roses, Dying in the cold,
A bed of roses, Stories untold,
A bed of roses, Alas, they are gone,
A bed of roses, Stop. Then move on.
