Three little unborn angels

Three little unborn angels.....
they had no chance to live.
To have them here with us today,
anything I would give.
We were so happy,
the family was flattered
when we got the news.
Little did we know, come three months time,
them we'd have to lose.
Carrying them, their mother got sick,
to the point where she couldn't eat.
She still refused to give in,
she wouldn't choose defeat.
Her husband and her wanted the babies so bad,
they tried everything they could.
But in the end fate caught up,
The medications did no good.
The babies didn't make it to the world, it was the saddest thing.
If they didn't the mother would die,
no longer to life could she cling.
We all mourned for many months,
It still pains me today.
To think how God gave us a miracle,
and then took it away.
Why do some have a chance at life,
when others don't make it to the world?
Maybe someday we'll all find out,
the answer will be unfurled.
But for now my little cousins,
are back up there with the maker.
He may be the creator of all,
but I've learned he's also a taker.
I know their safe and sound up there,
God's taking care of them.
We all miss them so much,
our three little unborn gems.

This poem is dedicated to my three cousins, who never had the oppourtunity to live.
