Brightness to ashes

by Semaran   Aug 29, 2004

Oh how you touched me so,
My heart burning so bright.
I never got to watch you grow,
Oh why? why did we have to fight?

The meaning of love was so clear,
I felt so full at your touch.
What happened is what i fear,
I guess my love was just too much.

I wished just for your smile,
My love was an eternal stain.
But no tone now when i try to dial,
Your face is contorted with pain.

I'd have given you my everything,
My mind, My soul, my heart.
But to you i was just a fling,
Little needed for the crying to start.

My heart was too much like coal,
So ready to burn at your touch,
Burning to the extent of my soul,
But the ash of my heart... Still loves you so much.
