Dream

I had a dream last night: I shot myself in the head.
I had a dream last night: No one even knew I was dead.
I was wearing black like I knew I was gonna die.
White rose in my hand like I was mourning my own grave.
Next Thing I know I'm standing out side the white pearly gate.

Strange as it sounds I should have wounded up in hell.
My child is mad at me for what I've done.
She'll never be born because of what I've done.
I know it's just a dream but I can't seem to wake up.
Never fall asleep in a bath tub.

I forgot I was breathing.
Tried to move but I couldn't
My eyes were open
I could see I was in water
I felt myself dying
Finally I felt that I needed air.
That fresh breath of air comforted me
I was ready to take on the night.
