Just for this morning,
Will I sleep in a little while longer
Hit the snooze button
And stay curled up under the sheets.
Just for this morning,
Will I make the bed
Let you use the bathroom first
And cook your eggs just the way you like them.
Just for this afternoon,
Will I forget about all the yard work you have to do
And let you watch your movies.
Just for this afternoon,
Will I stay at home, instead of shopping
And lounge around the house with you.
Just for this evening,
Will I let you take control of the remote,
Even though my favorite t.v. shows on
Just for this evening,
Will I let you forget that it's your turn to wash the dishes and walk the dog.
Just for tonight,
Will I let you steal the sheets from me
Even though I'm the one whose always cold
Only for EVER...
Will I let you do these things within reason,
Because I know you would let me do the same things
And we can never really know
When out last chance to enjoy these precious moments will be
So we much cherish them while we can
Because every Sunday morning
just laying on the couch is the best
But is even that much better
Because I have you.
