You've Forgotten

by Ashley   Aug 29, 2004

I fear you have forgotten,
To look into my eyes.
And see the truth which lies,
Within.

I speak to you with words sincere,
I look to you, and you listen no more.
Down my cheek falls a tear,
For within my heart, declared is war.

The time spent with you
Is now spent with another.
But I’ll let you know, in it I grew.

You put words into my mouth
That in my memory, were never said.
This friendship has gone south,
The support you once were is now dead.

I still care for you, I always will,
But this blame you place on me,
Shall be placed upon your shoulders too.
No more shall you pity yourself,
For I was always there,
You just looked the other way
When help was no longer needed.

A friendship is for good and bad,
You were always there for the bad,
But when times were good
You thought it ok to ignore me.
To a boy you ran,
Now here I stand … Without You!!
