My Dream

by Rebekah   Aug 29, 2004

When I was just a little girl,
I had these dreams most nights,
A beautiful house, with a swimming pool,
Looking out at the exotic sights.

But now I am all grown up,
Those dreams I have no more,
No beautiful house, no swimming pool,
No sights outside my door.

But I just have a small flat,
And my dream will stay a dream,
Although I’m happy with what I’ve got,
Dreams ain’t all what they seem.

What would I do with a great big house,
And who would I swim with in the pool,
I’m happy to have the place I have,
And my life is kinda cool.

Aww very inspiring. It's nice to read something encouraging people to appreciate what you have. Simply because no one never really know what they want anyway. I really enjoyed this poem, it has a very special message. Thanks for sharing.
