Letter to Heaven

Dear God,

I'm writing you this letter
To share with you my pain,
And maybe get some answers
And forgiveness for my sins.
God, I am in so much pain.
I don't know what to do.
It feels like the world is against me
And now all I have left is you.
I feel like such a loser
And unworthy of any love.
Cast aside by all the guys.
My heart so very numb.

Do you know what it's like
To look in the mirror
And grimace at your own reflection?
To feel so unwanted?
The epitome of imperfection.
I have tried so hard
To disregard their hateful words.
I just can't take it anymore.
I'm through with this life on Earth.
Lately I've been searching,
My angel I wish to find.
Maybe he can explain
All the drama in my life.
God I know you're listening
But I cannot hear you speak.
What should I do?
Your guidance is what I need.

I wish I had someone to hold me
And kiss away my tears.
Someone to protect me
And set at ease my fears.
I've always been the source of comfort
And the one out to save the world.
But I am no one special.
I am just another girl.
Every night I sob into my pillow
Praying the hurt will end.
I call out your name
But I receive no answer.
God I just can't keep doing this!
So tonight I ask of you
In this final prayer,
Will you please take my life
And lead me from this world of despair?
I know that I have made mistakes
And my sins have been forgiven.
I hope that soon I'll see my name
In the Book of Life it shall be written.
God I think I'm finally ready.
I hope you get this letter in time.
I beg you to set me free
And with you in Heaven I shall reside.
