Waiting for Darkness

by Kristin   Aug 29, 2004

I am waiting for the dark to come,
The woods is where I come from,
I hide at day and come at night,
waiting for everything to be alright.

You will soon see what I mean,
come into the dark at twelve thirteen,
Horror will strike into your eyes,
as you hear all the sharp cries.

I will be waiting for you to come,
I will sit here and strike my drum,
For I will never see happiness
I will be waiting here for the darkness!

Ohh scary...so i'll stay away from the woods at just past midnight then. I liked the feeling of insecurity in the first stanza, waiting for everything to seem all right before emerging.
Just one grammar error i spotted, in the first stanza, on the second line you said "were" it should be "where". Well done, scary work.
