Tears Roll Down

by Katie McCullick   Aug 29, 2004

Tears roll down on this cold winter day, as they dig the hole for your body to lay.
I remember the day that we met.
I was in love, my mind was set.
I believe your heart was made of gold. You took my heart out of the cold.
I remember the music you used to sing, and the comfort I felt when we shared our swing.
I never dreamed this day would come, I heard the news and my mind went numb.
You are gone and I am here,
I fall more apart with every tear.
Your spirit remains though your body's no more. It flows in my heart like waves upon the shore.
I feel your warmth on this cold winter day, as they dig the hole for your body to lay.
