Cycle (palindrome)

by Megha   Aug 30, 2004

A palindrome by definition,is a word, phrase or sentence or even a poem that reads the same forward or backward.

once again coming through,
good and well,
happiness creeping,
ringing bells,
then again comes sorrow,
confusion and pain,
dreading every tomorrow.
round and round in circles....
up to down,high to low,
love to pain,
what goes up,comes down again.
its the cycle of life.
----------------------------------------
life's cycle it is,
again comes down,what goes up,
pain to love,
low to high,down to up,
in circles round and round,
every tomorrow dreading,
sorrow comes again,
then ringing bells,
creeping happiness,
well and good,
coming through once again.

i was very apprehensive about posting this 1.....i tried to write a palindrome..i hope Ive done justice...any criticism is welcome...thanks

  • Hmm.. was this written by lazy megha??? The strating was really good... the poem is also good. But as a palindrome poem, you didn't stick to the rules.

It should have been either word by word palindrome, or phrase by pharse in reverse order... letter by letter will be impossible to do..

there should be a single word in between.. so that the reciprocals will balance in both sides.

With minor changes you can make it a perfect palindrome.. I don't know where you reffered it. May be you are right. Please can you forward the link? I will find you the exact definitions once i reach home. i am in my uncle's home now...
    Take care.. regards, Trincy.
