The House

by jamie25   Aug 30, 2004

The house still stands
though its occupants went
astray,
the seeds of love were blown so
far away,
where once abundant flowers
grew,
there is only the lonely morning
dew,
an empty space that portrays my
heart,
nothing stays the same,everything departs

the windows are so dark,
yet there tunnels to my past,
my mind replays everyday
right up to the very last,
this place seems so cold
and empty,
not at all like it used
to be

yet i understand why its so different
goodbye came and turned it all up side down,
leaving shattered shards of dreams
all around,
that is all the proof I'll ever need to see
to never let anyone see this heart inside of me

*please let me know what you think of this!

I love this part of your poem:

    the windows are so dark,
yet there tunnels to my past,
    my mind replays everyday
right up to the very last

Those sum up everypart of life. I'm upset you only have 1 poem up (so far) because you are very talented. Timothy left a msg on one of my poems and said to check yours out. I'm so glad I did!!!!!.

This poem was beautiful and sad. But amazing at the same time. You are very talented and I can't wait to read some more.
